- Pipedream
The problem
A private chef service in Sicily needed to be found by people searching for a chef in a specific city, and to turn visits into quote requests.
What I built
I was the only developer and handled the project end to end.
A bilingual site (English by default, Italian) with home, about, menus and wines, and contacts with an FAQ.
Dedicated pages for about eleven Sicilian cities, generated from a single dynamic route.
A multi-step contact form with optional extras such as a masterclass or wine pairing.
Scroll-reveal animations and a menu carousel, with GSAP and custom hooks.
Interesting decisions
One codebase, several domains. A CITY environment variable decides domain, canonical URLs, metadata, sitemap and robots, so the same repository is deployed on three domains.
SEO by construction. next-sitemap covers every locale and city combination, and metadata is centralized in one module.
i18n. next-intl with routing middleware; the copy lives in per-language message files.
Lightweight form backend. The form posts to a Pipedream webhook together with a platform field set to the city, so requests can be traced back to the site they came from. No server or database to maintain.
