The problem
Trialux is a Sicilian company that builds and maintains medium and low voltage electrical lines and takes part in public tenders. It needed a credible web presence for contracting authorities and clients: services, certifications, company news, a recruiting channel and a way to be contacted.
What I built
The design came from a collaborator. I took care of the backend, the CMS and the production release.
Payload 3 integrated in the Next.js app, with an Italian admin interface for the client's team.
Collections for news posts and job postings (draft, published, closed), plus media and users.
A contact form built as a Server Action that sends email through Resend.
Dynamic sitemap and robots, and versioned database migrations.
Interesting decisions
Hybrid content model. Institutional pages are hardcoded for speed and SEO, and only news and job postings live in the CMS. No page builder, on purpose: it kept the CMS simple.
One deployment. Payload runs inside Next.js. Since the serverless filesystem on Netlify is not persistent, the database is on Turso and the media on Cloudinary.
Automatic rebuilds. A build hook can regenerate the static pages whenever content changes.
Type safety. Types generated by Payload keep the content model and the frontend in sync.
